NGC 6960 Veil Nebula

Hello from Nicosia,

The Veil nebula(Witch's broom) is a cloud of heated and ionized gas and dust in the constellation Cygnus.
A large but relatively faint super nova exploded some 5,000 to 8,000 years ago and the remnants have since expanded to cover an area roughly 3 degrees in diameter.

The nebula was discovered on 1784 September 5, by William Herschel.

Great sketch Marios. I remember sketching it some years ago, also in an Orion 12" scope, it's a wonderful object. I used an O-III filter, did you use any type of filter?

A nice sketch there of one of my favourite nebulae, all but invisible except for the use of a filter, have you ever used a UHC filter on this?

with 8inch dob ,12inch dob, 16inch dob the NGC6960-6992-6995 OIII more clearly than UHC-S.

The NGC6974-6979 i can not remember, i can not confirm i'm sorry.
