Epsilon Aurigae Disc Imaged was created by JohnONeill
Hi,

The CHARA interferometer has imaged the disc of the Epsilon Aurigae with its dark companion disc crossing in front of the primary.

See www.citizensky.org/content/big-announcement
and www.chara.gsu.edu/CHARA/

So now we know (or at least have some idea) of what's happening when we see Epsilon Aurigae dimming.

I will have the Variable Star Display (which features Epsilon Aurigae) at the Cosmos weekend at Tullamore this weekend.

I just saw this this evening, it's a superb piece of work actually catching the eclipse in motion, who would ever have thought? I's a strange system alright.

Keith.
