Hi folks. With all the talk about BU 87 (the double star near Jupiter at present). I thought I would find a little more about the man behind the double star. The BU is referring to the great double star observer Sherburne Wesley Burnham. He lived from 1838 to 1921 and he compiled the Double Star Catalogue which contains 13,665 double / multiple stars.
And you thought, I was the only one crazy about double stars.
