DAVE, it's auto set for each post you post a reply to.
You need to click the unsubscribe box at the bottom
of the post each time you make a reply.

Dave - as far as I know, nothing has changed for months. I get the email notifications and to be honest, if I didn't, I'd either never be on the forum or always be on it... At least with email notifications, I know what posts are made - and I can then choose to read it, post a reply or simply hit the big fat delete button...

As regards multiple emails, I've noticed that I sometimes get two email notifications for the same post. It seems that it might be something to do with being a moderator of a particular forum...

If you use outlook for your email, you can generate a "rule" that simply deletes the notification emails either as they come in or when you manually run the rule.

I noted that when the email notifications were turned off that I found it really frustrating to navigate the site to new posts or updated threads. So I ended up not bothering. And that was just as frustrating!

The way it's set-up at the mo is grand.
You get notification of posts you reply to
(which makes sense)
And if you read a post and want to be kept up
To speed on it you click subscribe.
Works great for me.
Occasionally I've received multiple
Emails about the same post but it's because it's
A hot topic.
If you reply to a lot of posts then
It's gonna build up. I guess?

Yea, ok, looks like I'm gonna have to set up a rule to auto delete all emails from the site. it was just incase there was a quick way of disabling this, I'm just wondering why I'm getting these starting over the past week.
