Nope!
Thats class.
I could just zip down the road for a look.

Although I'd probably miss it.
I missed the new Airbus doing tests last summer....
after following the whole thing on Discovery.....

Im wondering is commojavascript:emoticon('')
Winkn knowledge with everyone that shannon airports main runway 06/24 is a Nasa emergency landing site for the shuttle, the runway there is 3199mx45m.....

Someone put that on wikipedia a while ago but despite being asked has not provided a citation for it. Granted the runway is big enough, but I haven't seen it listed officially anywhere - and I'm not buying the shuttle abort manual to check it out! You'll find it mentioned on several websites alright.

With some of our western runways you'd almost think the USAF had some say in the construction

All together now:

All sorts of planes could land there, of that there's little doubt,
handy for the George Bush to keep knock Gadaffi out.

I think Nasa has a site designated in Spain for emergency landings for Florida launches.
For my bad memory in one of the books on the Shuttle, Shannon was designated as a site when they were constructing the Orbiter and during initial test flights but after that, Nasa's preference was for Spain.
