Your chance to go to the Asteroid Belt! was created by dmcdona
Dawn's goal is to characterize the conditions and processes of the solar system's earliest epoch by investigating in detail two of the largest protoplanets remaining intact since their formations. Ceres and Vesta reside in the extensive zone between Mars and Jupiter together with many other smaller bodies, called the asteroid belt. Each has followed a very different evolutionary path constrained by the diversity of processes that operated during the first few million years of solar system evolution.

Hate to be the cynical one but, why?! What difference will it make to the mission if people sign up or not? Fair enough if you wanna do it then go ahead but I'm not seeing the point.
"After entering your name below, you will have the opportunity to print a document that verifies your journey aboard the spacecraft." - That sounds like something a certain other organisation a lot of us are acquainted with would say.
I'm even thinking there might be an ulterior motive to this name gathering thing. I can't specifically say why I think that but the whole thing sounds a bit odd. Buy hey, maybe that's just me.
