lab's regular winter shut-down - which is partly done to save money on electricity during this period of peak demand.


So how much energy will the LHC use when in full operation?

I wonder what facts one and two were - it starts at fact three... :dry:

As for their power usage during the spring/summer/autumn, I really don't know but it must be pretty huge. I wonder what their carbon footprint is...
