Goodbye..... was created by johnomahony
Its goodbye ....but I will still be a regular contributor to the IFAS boards. I am flying to Australia next week and taking up Australian permanent residency. I hope to be posting many very long exposure astrophotos (do you hear that Carl;) ) once my gear arrives (and clears customs:unsure: ).
Cheers.
John

An you'll have a whole new sky to explore, so get those photos coming! Have a look at my personal favourite, 47 Tucanae. It makes M13 look a bit lacking.
Bonne Voyage!
Paul.

Well John,
you'll be sorely missed for sure, you were always the calming voice in the club when things got hectic, and now you're going to southern skies, we're expecting many many night pics which make us all envious and jealous as hell, I'm sure you wont dissapoint.
Keep in touch.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Right so...
time for the going away party!!
How about Sunday night John?
Some bites in Milanos and then up to Souths?
Let me reitterate what Dave has said.
You will be sorely missed in the club,
you always approached everyting professionally and
pragmatically.
I wish we had more members like you.
A for southern skies.
I'm :X with envy.
Not just on the astronomy but the weather..the waves...
aaagghh!
Anyway,
don't spend all your online time over at Ice In Space,
keep in tough with us here!

Enjoy the Southern Sky John.
Remember, if the Aussies talk about the saucepan, they're talking about Orion's belt and the scabbard and not the plough!!
