CHESMAYNE 16,000+ was created by Raymond Reid
Hi,
A link to the 2005 edition of the Chesmayne Astronomy Page is shown below:- the 88 constellations, an in-depth discussion of telescopes and accessoreis and A to Z vendors list and an IRISH links section etc. This is quite an extensive astronomy web page - enjoy! See my stats page 16,000+ visitors for the month of February 2005 - a lot of people are visiting from all over the world. I've added a link to IRISH ASTRONOMY [number 7 in the list on my web page] just to show that I really care about all of you and really have your interests at heart - I'm just nice and friendly, chatty, witty, humorous and just plain nice. For the romantically minded see 'Love' under the letter 'L' in the dictionary?

But you don't need to do the post in such high impact text Raymond! We can all read the standard size font!

Ok - I'll change the font to normal. The only reason why I use this font is that I also use the same font on my web page - 16-point New Roman. It depends on whether you use 800 x 600 screen or larger for display. Another reason is that chess moves need to be large to allow people to see the moves of a game without straining their eyes. I find the smaller fonts difficult to read especially when you are reading a lot of text from a monitor. I do have quite good eyesight - I do after all look through a 16-inch Newtonian reflector.

Joke: a fellow went into an optician's late in the evening to collect a new pair of glasses. He asked "are they as good as your adverts?". The optician brought him outside - told him to put them on and look up? "What do you see" he asked? "Stars" the fellow replied. Optician: "Well, how far do you want to see".

Yours,

Ray.

I'm afraid that advert wouldn't work too well in Ireland!

"What can you see?"
"Clouds"
"Far enough..."

Information packed site you have Ray.

Only one small gripe. Some pages (like the moon one) are huge. For those of us who still live and use Intenet in the stone age (56K) it's a long wait to see everything.

Between one and two scroll lengths is about the average for a web page.

Other than that, fine.

Please tell me you are not 15 and take offence to everything I write.
