Withdrawal symptoms anybody? was created by Keith g
Well, is there anybody suffering from withdrawal symptoms right now? Shortest nights, clouds, rain, night is still short, rain, clouds, oh and rain again :)

I seriously need to get to a scope fast :-( Please help! Anyway, hopefully we will be looking at the likes of this soon...taken on May 27th last...

Yes Keith. It appears to be a typical Irish summer once again. So much cloud and rain, although some warm days like today.
I saw the Moon on Monday afternoon, and I was tempted to set up the telescope. But by the time I got home the cloud covered the whole sky yet again.
Still, I try not complain. I have had 37 observing sessions so far this year. I am convinced I shall break my previous record -40 observing sessions in the year 2004! So just 4 to go!
Great shot of M24 though.

Aubrey.

Same here, bummed out that I don't get much observing in. I work 4 nights a week (as well as 5 days!) so, on my free nights, I do look forward to an opportunity to do some observing. But nothing - with a telescope (because of the effort between clouds) - for about a month now.

In MAC, we've had 2 successful observing sessions, 2 clouded out, and 6 rained-on since end of January. Grrr!

I watched the weather forecast at the end of tv3 news yesterday evening - at the end of the presentation their is a final screen shot of the following 5 days with a short comment on each.........it could be summerised as follows:

RAIN, RAIN, RAIN, RAIN, RAIN, RAIN interupted by showers with heavier RAIN, with patches of drizzle intermitently followed by RAIN and then more RAIN with occasional outbursts, followed by thundery downpours followed by RAIN then more RAIN, follewed by RAIN with outbursts of showers inbetween the RAIN :grouphug:

BTW I just noticed the first words at the top of our home page (IFAS) ...and now only coming to fully understand their significance "IFAS is an umbrella group of Astronomical Clubs & Societies"
