Happy Christmas to all amateur astronomers throughout Ireland, and clear skies in 2014!
How about starting a new post where we reminisce what we observed in 2013? Say near the end of the month when we are all less busy with Christmas? I am willing to do the 1st post.
Aubrey.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Best wishes to all during this festive season, I hope you all enjoy a peaceful and joyous time.
Nice idea Aubrey, I guess for you that would be the eclipse, for me it was observing doubles in Scorpius and Sagittarius, a pair of constellations difficult to observe from Ireland.
Here's to 364 clear nights in 2014.

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope Santa brings loads of astro-goodies!
Aubrey's idea sounds good. 2013 was actually pretty good for observing, the weather was quite co-operative, until November. Let's hope 2014 is even better.
