IAS observing at Sandymount -Friday 26 June 2015 was created by flt158
Good evening, all Dublin based amateur astronomers.
This coming Friday night 26th June might have quite clear sky conditions. Does anyone fancy coming to the Martello Tower Car Park in Sandymount from about 8.30 pm onwards? An 11 day day old Moon in Virgo will be on the menu; as well as Saturn, Jupiter and Venus.
Any optical equipment will be welcome. Even just bring yourself will be fine.
Clear skies,
Aubrey.

Seeing that no one has got back to me. I won't be going down to Sandymount.
I will just set up my scope in my backyard for the evening.
Aubrey.

Hi Aubrey.
I would be interested in meeting in Sandymount, but would not be able to get there until about 9.30. I would love to take a look at the infamous 15 Boo through your apo. I won't bring along the 11" SCT because it is bulky and power hungry, but can bring a little 4" short tube refractor.

I'm not sure Aubrey. I have a teenage son to look after, and how long I stay will depend on what time my wife can get home from a family visit.
Looking forwar to meeting you later,
Mike
