Hi,

Perseids peak is for early Friday morning. Anyone interested in a trip to a dark site in wicklow for the night?

I think Cloon (and the Kippure lighthouse) isnt a great location. Perhaps firther down towards djouce? or even further perhaps the carparks along sallygap or the wicklow gap at the old mines?

Cheers,
~Al

I'd be on for early Saturday morning (ie, head out late on Friday night and look at them past midnight into Saturday?), but not Friday morning, as I have to work...

Hi,
I live in Knockananna..way south Wicklow anyone in the area of Wicklow headin out give me a shout(Fri/sat morn better for me too). If you're stuck for a site my Garden is pretty dark. I'll just keep my better half locked in the house!

I plan to be in T'more on Fri. too, and heavy 3 others.
But a point to note is that on the Irish weather forcast this am they said that it's to be wet on Fri evening & Sat., coming in from the west

Maybe Fri am isn't such a bad idea, for those who can get out of the sctracher!

Meanwhile, in GB they're expecting their hottest day this year on Fri.

Typical. :x

I'd certainly be interested in coming down, Mark. Looks like you're well away from any large towns, so if we get the weather, there could be some nice viewing from your garden. As others have pointed out, the forecast isn't too good for Friday night/Saturday morning, so maybe earlier in the week would be better. We'll watch the weather and keep in touch.
