New IFAS Committee was created by albertw
Hi folks,

I'm just back from Whirlpool! The new IFAS committee is:

Chairperson - Michael O'Connell (TAS)
Vice-Chairperson - Dave McDonald (KAS)
Treasurer - Bernie Foley (Deise)
Secretary - Dave Lillis (SAC)

Thats a very active bunch of people! Please join me in congratulaing the new committee!

Congratualations on the new committee.

All best wishes on your new respective roles. Shoule be an exciting year ahead for Irish astronomy.

In particular, the announcement of the (AOP) Advanced Observers Programme initiative at the Whirlpool yesterday This is a great opportunity for all to participate, in perhaps the first ever observing programme that can involve everybody.

I believe there will be further details coming up be the new Vice Chairman Dave McD.

On behalf of the new committee, many thanks everyone for your best wishes and support.

However, I think you will all argee that it's only fair to thank the outgoing committee for all the hard work they have done over the past year! Well done lads! Your work is much appreciated by eveyone here!
