Report from Athens:
It was a great weekend for all of us. We were all very glad to meet John Murphy. He enjoyed his time in Parnon, too.
Now he is in his plane, flying safe back home.
Be prepared for a lot of photographs!
John, untill we meet again,
Clear Skies!

Well - I'm back.
So sad to leave Mt. Parnon and all my new Greek friends.
For those heading over in July and August - you are in for a real treat.
I have never been treated to a sky like this - the Milky Way blazes a trail right across the sky and culminates in Sagitarius and Scorpius - glorius constellations not well seen from our shores. As well as Astronomy there is also Gastronomy to look forward to, the food is to die for.
Many many many thanks to my hosts who made this possible - especially Vagelis, Kiriakee (hope I spelled it right), Leon, John, Adonis, and many many more.
I will give a full report with some pictures in a seperate post (in the meantime I have lots of pictures to sort through (not many of the night sky - I was too busy looking through so many scopes). I'll try to get some of this online tonight, in the meantime here is a rough stack of 4 shots unprocessed:
