We are in the car park just to the south of the Martello Tower.
As can be seen its within easy walking distance of Sydney Parade DART Station.
By road going out from Dublin City Centre on Merrion Rd, turn left at Ailesbury Rd and hence onto Sydney Parade Avenue, keep going across the level crossing until you meet the seafront and Martello Tower at the end.
By road (into Dublin) from Dun Laoghaire, just turn right at Merrion Gates and continue along Strand Rd until you meet the Martello Tower.
By the M50 from the west, leave at Leopardstown and onto Leopardstown Rd. When you reach the Bray Rd turn left (heading into Dublin), continue pass the Stillorgan By-Pass and then turn right down Merrion Ave. At the end of Merrion Ave turn left onto Rock Rd (heading into Dublin). Then turn right at Merrion Gates (level crossing) and continue along Strand Rd until you meet the Martello Tower.
see you there,
John

Hi
Could you arrange for any photos of this event to be sent by 10pm
tonight, so that we can feed this in to web coverage
thanks
I don't think we'll make it to Sandymont but if it's clear, look for me on Sonesta green near the Malahide estuary (Darkish now but might soon have lighted car park for the Dart!) Anyone with a good view of the Dublin skyline should publish before and after photos so we can do a blink comparison and see how many people participated. (Spectrograph to catch those in violation of the proposed incandescent ban is optional
