Hi,

I am working on a new website for IFAS with cool Google maps.
I am creating maps of Star Party Events, Observing Sites, Club Meetings and Astronomy sites of Interest in Ireland.
I have GPS coordinates for the nearly all of the club meetings with the exception of CAC and SSAC. Would some member of those clubs, please provide me with GPS coordinates of the club meeting so I can add them to the clubs map.
If you have an interesting observing site or a club observing site, please send me on gps coordinates and a note on the site like if it is a club site, etc
Also, if you have a site that should be included in a list of astronomical places of interest in Ireland like Birr Castle, etc, please forward me on the details and gps coordinates.

Thanks
Darragh

Hi Darragh,

nice idea re: the co-ords. Here are TAS's relevant details.

TAS Observatory, Clonminch Lane:
53.2497° N, 7.4842° W (for specific events if needed)

Tullamore Meetings, Presbyterian Church, High Street:
53.2736° N, 7.4931° W

Cosmos Star Party, Annaharvey:
(close to) 53.2532° N, 7.3800° W

FYI to other users, I found a neat little co-ordinates finder at www.batchgeocode.com/lookup/

Seanie - thanks for the link - that is so cool.
I keyed in my address and it got it spot on on the map and co-ordinates.

I wrote this tool a while ago to convert from OSI to WSG84 coords.

Handy if you only have a map reference of you site.
