Hi folks,
during the TAS committee meeting last night, we were all wondering when to have Cosmos 2006. Due to the Eclipse Trip to Turkey, it kind of threw us off of our original date of March 24th to 26th. Easter Sunday also falls on April 16th.
So, this is our conundrum
We would like to see if we can cater for everyone as mush as possible regarding when to have our event, leave Easter alone, and allow for you travellers who may be short of cash so close to a Cosmos date, but would still want to come. So please, let us know on this thread, so we know all your opinions.
Also, a reason for our influence for March 24/26, was tha we would only have to worry about a late rising quarter Moon.
Thanks for the feedback!

I'd be up for the weekend of April 21st to 23rd. People travelling to the eclipse would probably want to keep available cash for the trip. The weekend after may be a bit of a crunch as well. However, the weekend after Easter follows a 4-day working week, which won't be as tiring after an eclipse trip and Easter celebrations.
I've cast my vote!

April 21st sounds good Seanie . . . allows people time to piece together material from the Turkey and other eclipse trips so as to do a "show and tell" at Cosmos.

Only possible glitch is that there's a full moon that weekend.
