TAS on the radio ! was created by lionsden
Well done to Seanie Morris for "his" radio show on Midlands 103 on Monday last (21st Feb. 2005) 8) . Unfortunately I didn't get to hear it, so if anyone managed to tape it or would know where I could get a copy, I'd be eternally grateful! :D

By the way Seanie, how did you manage to crack them? Weren't they "blanking" you in favour of Astronomy Ireland?

Thanks guys! 8)

I was on Fran Curry's Morning Midlands show just after 11:30am. We talked about the club, how TAS started and what it achieved to date and hopes and plans for the future, the kind of members we have and how to join. Talked about a few things that can be seen at the moment like the ISS in the early morning, Saturn in the evening, Jupiter, Machholz. Told him how to recognise the Plough and to get Polaris from it! And that we have got nothing to do with Astrology!!
He was keen and very supportive. Gave out our web address a couple times and one of our phone numbers (my home number really). And, he said to me on air "Sure we do't need to go to Astronomy Ireland to get any of our astronomy and space news anymore, we have you guys right here in the town!". I totally agreed with him! He has offered to take us on air when major events happen, and might even set up a weekly radio astronomy spot. Fingers crossed!

I don't have a recording of it either, so if anyone managed to get one for Leo, I'll take a copy too!
