at our present rate i think we will destroy the earth before we destroy the universe. we have to interact with the universe or else curl up and die in the corner. it strikes me as a bit sensationalist. taking the Heisenberg uncertainty principle and applying it to the whole universe is a bit OTT. i think maybe as usual the papers have taken a story and gone to town on it.

The big problem with Schrodinger's Cat is that cats cannot talk..especially dead ones.

If, instead of a cat, you put a person in the box and gave them a bottle of whiskey the theorists outside might say that the person inside lives "In a superposed state of being neither drunk nor sober until the lid of the box is lifted and the person is observed".
