Hi folks.

A friend if mine is looking for a telescope for his son who has got the bug. He is you 8 or 9. I was thinking of a 6" dob. Anyone have anything along those lines they want rid off. He has about 100 or so to spend.

Thanks

Cheers

Hello, Michael and Mr. O'Donoghue.

That 2nd hand telescope is not a refractor.
It is a reflector -which Mr. O'Donoghue is asking for.

If it is too tall for the 9 nine year old, I strongly recommend the Orion Starblast 4.5" reflector.
It is available through Amazon for €200. It can sit on a small garden table with a stool.
I have seen it in action.

Clear skies to everyone.

Aubrey.

I trust your 9 year old will be giving full instructions as to how to use an equatorial mount with his new refractor, Mr. O'Donoghue.

Clear skies to all concerned.

Aubrey.
