Trying to define a rigid definition of a planet is like trying to define when a hill becomes a mountain.
Its the most rediculous discussion since they tried to figure out how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.
Next theyt will be re-naming the "Minor Planet Centre" because minor planets are not "planets" anymore.
Its typical Californian politically correct Balderdash.

Recommended film:
"The Englishman who Went Up a hill And Came Down a Mountain".
When the English authorities deemed that a Welsh mountain was only a hill the offended Welsh villagers had other ideas about their mountain.
They got the Englishman (Hugh Grant) to lug enough rocks up to the top to turn it back into a proper mountain.
Very funny,just like the meaningless "whats a planet" debate.
