Unfortunately, it's overcast and a mist is now starting up here in kildare. I hear the west coast is very sunny at the mo.

Yep, very sunny here at the moment. I think you've got the weather we had yesterday. This front is moving very very slowly.

HI trev! class iimages there! i was just wondering how you blacked out the sun for the photos with the proms???

Hi Matthew,
To expose for the proms the disc burns out white so I just pulled the image into PS Elements and did a magic wand on the disc and then feathered it to 3 pixels and deleted it - making sure the background was set to black.
Then I inverted the selection & did some curves to bring the colour back in as it's captured in black and white.
