I don't post much here in the Solar System Objects forum (except when there's a good comet about), so I'm not familiar with the local style.
I tagged my comet observations on the back of one of Keith's posts based on my experience on CloudyNights (where the principal comet threads include observations over a few months and run to 10 or 20 pages of posts from many different individuals).
But I note that Keith himself started a new thread for his next observation.
In future, should I start a new thread for each observation, or is it easier if they're all in one thread, or is there no particular "house style"?
Cheers,
-- Jeff.

Either/or in my opinion Jeff. Plus side - continuity in one post to keep track of your long project. Minus side - can get lost and cluttered, and daunting for new(er) people coming late into a thread about 7 pages long.
If it was me? I'd let it go with individual threads seperated by about 2 weeks apart - if I was doing what you're proposing.
Again, there are no 'rules', so you choose!
