Jupiter belts.... was created by peterako
Hello all,
This question may have been raised before in another thread.
Is a 'Southern belt' reappearing on Jupiter?
I spent a little time processing a couple of captures from last night and in teh better ones it looks like there is a belt in line with the bottom of the GRS.
Couldn't really see it with visual observing.
(But then the Anti-Astronomy section of the family were continually turning on and off lights killing my night vision )

Very nice images Peter. I agree, your shots show a distinct feature where the missing belt ought to be. Well done!

looking at your images there Peter, its quiet possible, more images will prove or disprove the point.

Thank you guys.
I've seen much clearer more detailed images on other fora that do not show it.
This is one from Pic du Midi on 29th Sept:

It may just boil down to some aberration in my set-up....
Time will tell
