Venus - Uranus conjunction 9th February was created by flt158
For lovers of planetary conjunctions, we have an opportunity to see one with Venus and Uranus this coming Thursday 9th February. I have 2 people interested in joining me at the Martello Tower at Sandymount. The car park charges end at 5pm, and I aim to be there from that time onwards.
Venus is less than a degree from Uranus -so it should be a spectacular sight in any telescope. I shall be bringing my 6.2" apo refractor with me. If anyone else wishes to join us, don't hesitate to phone me on 086-2922101. The weather forecast promises to be cold and clear.
Aubrey.

Well, Seanie, we can always hope for the best. I really want to see this one. I then will be saying bye-bye to Uranus till next autumn.

Hi,
Aubrey and Seanie, hope you got a view.
They were an easy sight last night in the 70mm refractor (Pronto), in the same telescopic field.
See: Variable Star Nights
for an image, taken with the same scope.

Thank you for the photo, John. I'm afraid Dublin was 100% clouded out and it even rained on Thursday night. Roll on Venus-Jupiter conjunction on March 13th.

Same here, rained on Thursday night, clouded out last night, wasn't in an opportunity to view the remains of the conjunction tonight.
