does anyone know anything about what look like 2 searchlights that have been lighting up the clouds over the city since at least sunday?. from my backyard i would say that they are towards the city centre. they appear to be rotating in a ciircle.

Jeez Stephen!! Those two beams go to the Zenith in my sky here at oristown, 60km NW of city centre. I thought they were from a neighbour down the road. They both describe circles in the sky which intersect, so they are criss crossing each other. Must be zillions of watts if I can see them

Not yet, noticed them driving down alfie byrne rd. (east wall) tonight though.
They look as though they might be from the IFSC direction. Traffic was a bit crazy around the point and east link, so I couldnt get another bearing...

Maybe they should rework the lyrics to Twinkle Twinkle little ala "Twinkle, twinkle, little star, How I wonder WERE you are."
Those feckin 500w "secruity" lights should be banned, proper lighting should be installed in the myriad of new housing estates/apartments/shops that are sprouting up everywere.......arghaghgh.....
