Double Moon event at Jupiter

Hi everyone. I have been observing Jupiter tonight (Thursday). Between 20:26 and 20:30, I saw Europa pass Callisto extremely tightly. In February's Sky at Night magazine, it gave the heads up for this dramatic event. At first, Europa was east of Callisto, then they touched, and now Europa is west of Callisto. I have not seen such an event for many years -1990's I reckon. At the same time, Io's shadow is on the face of Jupiter. Io itself is due to appear at 21:26. All 4 moons will be west of the giant planet. And at 21:52 old GRS will be on the central meridian.

Furthermore, I saw Io come away from the western side of Jupiter at 21.25 with the Great Red Spot near the eastern side. I was using my 5mm Nagler all the time -which gives 225X. Instead of seeing a double star; I saw a double moon (Europa and Callisto). Brilliant night for me !

Did anyone else give Jupiter a peek?

Yes remember the 26th well now when I look at the images.

I was out looking to capture it all as there was a lot on that night but I only got a few minutes of unexpexted clear sky so very happy to capture anything at all - I have Io at the very end of transit which I havent processed yet and this image was at 21:34 after IO exited transit and the shadow still showing. I missed the moon conjunction later on.
