Hi,
Did anyone see the cometary flyby last night, it was all hazy here
According the starrynight, the comet passed within 6 arcminutes of the nebula, a brilliant visual and photo oppertunity missed!

Hi Dave,
Was trying to catch that as well but viewing was terrible from here also. Only Vega was visible anywhere near the comet with the naked eye. I couldn't even find the comet or the comet in the SCT or Refractor!
This guy got a nice shot of it passing M57 last night.

All that with the moon up and gusting winds!

No luck here either, Got hazy and cloudy as soon as it was dark enough to pick out comet.

coruscations attending the whole length of the luminosity, giving to the phenomena the aspect of a wrathful messenger, and not that of a tranquil body pursuing a harmless course..comet of 1680

No joy from Drogheda either. Cloud-cover was about 80% when I went to bed, so I was hopeful.
This was the first event I've ever set my alarm clock for, but when I got up at 3:30, the cloud-cover had worsened to 100%. Tried again at 4:30, but it was still overcast (and probably too bright by then anyway).
