Great idea, thanks for volunteering, your hired. Anyone else got good ideas
All joking aside that is a good idea, I'm not in the astronomy hobby too long to have an issue with AI but it couldn't do the IFAS any harm in making itself known to the great unwashed. To be honest, I never heard of IFAS before I always thought the clubs were part of AI... please don't hurt me for being honest

When I started out first I thought exactly the same thing.
As for doing up a press release every now and again ...
I can't see that being a huge job.
Unless I'm totally overlooking someone elses job on IFAS
I'd be up for it.
It'd just mean doing up an email with the relevant info and then
getting the club sec. or whomever to sign it off.

Give it a go and see! The position is open.
Most club secretaries/assigned members submit material to local press and radio sources. Some of them are very successful too. It is not a HUGE job, just one that needs ongoing attention.
Midlands Astronomy Club.
Radio Presenter (Midlands 103), Space Enthusiast, Astronomy Outreach Co-ordinator.
Former IFAS Chairperson and Secretary.

Speaking of press info etc, I have it on good authority that one of the astronauts on board, Mr. J. Reilly is of Irish decent (West Cork) and may even be carrying an Irish flag on board with him..
P.S. Stunning images Frank... absolutely stunning, well done.
