Oh yea. Chalk it down. Certainly was good, and that was with a summer sky. Looking forward to meeting up in Boher again when the skies are really dark.PS, I hope staying up till 4 am was worth it.

We have baby-sitters ... we have home-sitters (when the owners are away on vacation) ... and now I foresee Dob-sitters where one babies a Dob while its owner is honouring his non-hobby commitments (or catching up on his sleep following a long session at night). :lol:So Mike, when are you moving back to limerick?
I hear there is a house for sale on Daves' street!

Unlike babysitting (where you get payed) a dobsitter has to pay for the privilege, another expense in this already expensive world of amateur astronomy.
Michael, I think you could be joining the league of the dobomaniacs pretty soon

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time. . . .

Its a common case of Aperture Fever!

Cheers Kieran. However, what I didn't say is that I had no money. If you spot one for free though, give me a bell.
BTW, did I tell you I'm doing a "charity" fundrasing event for a telescope. You all pay me twice the cost of the telescope. I get a telescope and the other half goes to charity - same idea as all those chaity walks in Nepal etc. Personally, I think it sounds like a great idea!
