I found this, just not fast enough! It shows the position of Endeavour and the ISS.

A mate of mine in Portlaoise reckons he saw it at about midnight. Might have been the ISS though, he's not sure.

This is great thanks!

just wondering, would the external fuel tank be visible passing over Ireland. My sister reckons she saw two faint "stars" about a minute or so apart heading eastwards

Cheers
Trevor

I don't know Trevor. Usually, the EFT is jettisoned where it will burn up over the Pacific. Listening to it in the yard on the eadphones I think it was well after 20 minutes when it was expelled after launch, which would mean it was probably over the North Pole/Arctic about to come down the north of the Pacific??

Good video here from the BBC news website detailing the first 10 minutes after launch from ground to orbit (including the various stages of separation):

Handy that the narrator gives the range, speed and altitude regularly.

Hi all,

I posted the same times to another astro forum and someone replied with a great question. Why are the pass times different for the shuttle and the ISS after Friday when they dock? Should they not be the same - I don't know the answer - anyone got any ideas?
