was last nights sky of really really good quality?

We seem to have a established pattern here that it is reasonably clear after sunset (only occasionally mind), but it then hazes up after darkness falls. Last night before I went to bed there were stars in the sky except I could only see Albireo with averted vision! V Poor transparency.

Mind you, in terms of the original question I'm 120 miles from Dublin.

It has just been that part of the year where we'll get lots of fog. The fact that there has hardly been any wind since Monday doesn't help.
