So between Sean's and Pat's observations, there seemed to be some activity last night. I do know the Leonids are peaking on the 17th, so if you saw your meteors in the east guys, they might have been Leonids. :!: Leo begins to creep up from the horizon after 23:30hrs.

I think I saw it too, from Naas. It looked like it was in the general direction of the Wicklow mountains. It would defiantly have been brighter than Mars. I thought it was orange flare.
