The UK (news) is gearing up for snow, which means a super cold front coming around. A cold front can also bring clear skies, like right now (well, where I am anyway). So, maybe tonight will be relatively clear? Make the most of it if it does.

Mostly cloudy here in South Dublin right now but there are a few small breaks in the clouds. It might just turn out ok later on...but i wont hold my breath.

I was all set on thurs evening as it was so clear and still, in fact the best seeing I've experienced since getting the scope. Went inside, had dinner, came out and my scope was covered in snow! :x

We then got 3-4 inches of snow over the next few hours so that put pay to everything.

Saw Saturn briefly last night and the Double (Double) although I could not split it, seeing wasn't very good. What magnification would split it into 4?

Hi CJ,
I hope the scope survived the snow without trouble, i had a similar experience waiting for good seeing on Thursday night.
Just as I was going to image Mars, the clouds came in after waiting all night.
Damn this weather.
