My weather station is reading -3 here but it feels like -33!
I got a good look at Tuttle tonight, I ran off a few shots also and the green
colour is very obvious in it,
I also had a good look at Holmes...
It's still naked eye!
Mad, but it's just a huge diffuse ball.
This comet is amazing.
I took a look at Mars thru the 12'' and was not disappointed.
I could clearly see markings and the polar cap.
The weather here is very still and the seeing is quite good.
I also had the ETX set up but I didn't bother doing any webcamming tonight. (too much wine after dinner!!)
I reckon if I did the seeing would have lead to some very good clear shots.
I just dis a 'nights best' tour with the autostar and did a side by side
comparison with the 12''.
I saw a few meteors also but only sporadic's.
think the max of the shower is gonna be in daylight for us, pity.
I took better observing details (new years resolution)
but I'm frozen to the core so I'm not gonna post em here.....
The scopes are covered in frost....a first for me....
If only we could get a cold snap like this for a few weeks!!!!!

Yep clear skies here in Dublin too (HEAVY frost setting in). I'd love to venture outside but i dont much fancy the -6C temps. I'm gonna look outside for a few mins later for a few Quadrantids..........but only through a window in a heated room. I think the best time is gonna be around 5-7am.
