Unfortunately clear skies means cold nights. If you want to take advantage of the best nights for astronomy you gotta brave the cold man!

This i know. I just cant bring myself to do it TONIGHT..........-6C.............thats colder then my freezer.

Pussy   are you a man or mouse get out there and freeze your ass off.

It ain't -6 anyway thats just the minimum temperature it *might* get down to in the midlands. It's only -1 in Dublin!! It's a balmy -3 in Offaly at the moment. I heard Seanie Morris was seen wearing bermudas and lying in his deck chair!

I just recently invested €70 in a wooly hat, scarf, gloves and a padded pair of fingerless sports gloves.

The reason they cost so much is cuz they are all Umbro (dont ask me why cuz i dont know................when im wearing them i look like feckin billboard for Umbro) .

Seriously................when i go outside to observe................i am as snug as a bug in a rug.

But i have only tested them in temps of 3C.
