comet holmes second show was created by dmolloy
hi all and good morning... Just a quickie, I observed Comet Holmes on friday night. very dim now, and difuse. But I read somewhere recently that on a previous visit it outgassed a second time after 70 days?
is this 70 days from its appearence or from its first outburst? - I know its an amatur question but hey... thats me...fasinated but thick..

I think it went into outburst 70 days after perihelion (closest approach to the sun.) There's life in the old dog yet!

Everyone going to mass/church/service/sacrificial rock or whatever you call it please say a few prayers this weekend so that our most favourite comet erupts once more.
