Holmes is currently 3.11AU from the sun and about 2AU from Earth.

So, it's moving away from us. I'd say that would make an outburst more unlikely unfortunately, as it is heading out into colder space. If it was coming closer, then the warming would cause it to expand, and probably give an outburst.

so hold off on the lamb cutlets. and put the cork back in the wine bottle?. like already being said... it was a good show....cant complain...cancel the party if you must. but....maybe...just maybe....hmmmm...after all no one is quite sure exactly why it outgassed in the first place?
