Paul thats nothing. You should see the M50 (the road) here in Dublin. Its the largest carpark in the world.

Well either you're all wuss-stronomers or I'm bad but I've opened up the observatory and am imagaging as we type. It was clear so I went out with the binocs. I was standing by the observatory and realised the house was shielding it from the wind. So I decided to give it a go. So far the guiding has been good. Just keeping a close eye out in case any showers suddenly pop up.

I'm gonna go out with my bins and hunt down Holmes. If it's stil clear later...........i have my eyes set on Saturn(using the scope).

Dont try and talk me out of it. Holmes should be pretty hight right now above my house so if i go down the end of the back garden i should get it.

Its clouded over in the last 20 mins. I still saw Sirius though so i'm hoping for a break in the clouds yet.

All dressed up and nowhere to go. But hey it's early yet in astonomy terms. The night is still young.
