I live in canada, but this might be of interest to you.
A geo sat called Intelsat 1R, in a few days should be visible to the naked eye. Roughly will be in the naked eye range if all goes as planned, around Feb 5 give are take a few days.
The geo sat is visible from Ireland, roughly 20 degrees above the horizon.
The other night I was able to see it, at roughly 8th magnitude. So in the range of my pair of 50 mm aperature binoculars
The time I observed it, was roughly 2:20 UTC. I have to confirm that time, as it different then in the past when I observed it. I would say start observing it, around 1:40 UTC and keep an eye on it, for the next 1/2 hour, are later.
The satellite catalog number ( norad number ) of Intelsat 1R is 26608.
