Mind you,Patrick Moore saw them both is his 15" reflector.
He saw Phobos in his 12.5" reflector .
(Both with occulting bars to block Mars' glare.)

Should be able to spot them in a 20" Obsession!

Peter, theoretically yes.
I dont have an occultating bar setup, maybe if the moons are positioned well and the sky is somehow clear we can give it a go on saturday night at the CSP.

After tonights pass over of the ISS i can with almost 100% certainty say that what i saw the night i posted this thread was infact the ISS.
