Sometimes i find the skies perfect but want to just stay in and watch the football.

Other times when they are just so-so i cant wait to get out and set up.

If you force things you wont enjoy it and youll be just as happy to go out the next time because you are in the propper mood for it. The stars will still be there, friends and family and other good things may not

I had a look out earlier and the seeing was CRAP. Sirius was huge and BRIGHT but dancing about like there was no tomorrow.

It was so COLD and so WINDY.

I didnt bother.

I know the feeling Paul.

Its like an extension of the new scope curse. When I am full of energy and raring to get outside to observe, the skies tempt me right till the last moment.

Heading to work....Clear
For the Duration of work.....Clear
Driving home from work.....Clear
Cooking my Tea.......Clear
Eating my Tea.......Clear
Finished my Tea and about to grab my gear..........Cloudy!! :x :x

Then on the nights where I have had a long day and am exhausted and am actually praying for Cloud so that I don't feel guilty about wasting a good night.........................Clear, Clear, Clear!! :x Typical

I haven't yet been able to resist and have gone outside on the clear nights no matter how I felt. Hasn't been so bad because once I start observing I forget that I wasn't really in the mood.

The weather can throw all it wants at me right now and i dont mind cuz i have one of those nasty eye infections (my observibg eye) and dont plan on any observing sessions with the scope or bins til it clears.

The whole right side of my face is swollen. I'm on antibiotics for it. The damn thing took hold overnight.

would actually be dangerous to go out tonight

"Ah, Henny Penny," said Chicken Little, "the sky is falling, and I must go and tell the king."
"How do you know that the sky is falling, Chicken Little?" asked Henny Penny.
"I saw it with my eyes, I heard it with my ears, and a bit of it fell on my head," said Chicken Little.

Its Murphy's law with me. The nights i do look outside (maybe 5 out of every 7) its cloudy...so the other 2 nights i dont check, they are clear.

I'm starting to wonder if there is indeed a curse on my scope.LOL.
