Declan --
Yep, the invert is done after I scan it in on the computer.
I also usually have to do a bit of touch-up in Photoshop to repair the damage the scanner does (you can still just make out a speckled vertical stripe to the right of M15 that didn't get cleaned up).

Really getting into the swing of things with those sketches Jeff, nice to see and study them too. Cracking work!

They're a bit hard to compare because the rotation is different on the second and third images. In the second sketch, the Trap is just below center; in the third sketch it's to the right of center, about half-way to the field stop.
I forgot to mark it, but N is about 8 o'clock in the second image. The second and third images are also mirror-reversed left-to-right since they were done through an SCT.
Cheers,
-- Jeff.

Thanks, Seanie!
I've certainly enjoyed doing them (and as Declan mentioned, you really do see a lot more when you sketch).

Great sketches Jeff. That M15 in particular is really superb.
I tried this stuff a bit last winter after seeing Deirdre's stuff and could not get the hang of it at all.
You got me tempted to try again...
