John --

Interestingly, even with GoTo and before I was sketching, I was already at the "slow" end of the spectrum, viewing maybe 6 to 8 targets in a 2 to 3 hour session.

But now with sketching, I'm finding myself quite pleased with 4 to 6 targets, with maybe 2 or 3 of them sketched. It certainly suits my style of observing....

Cheers,
-- Jeff.

Solar sketching is very interesting, and by its nature is nice and warm compared to lunar sketching. Its very enjoyable to be able to do some observing during the day, if there is a good busy active region to follow.

Lunar sketching by its nature or at least by the way I go about it, is very demanding. I normally just have the concentration for one target area, or one phase, or one crater.
