Hi Krusty,

Here's that clip ...

Enjoy!!!

If you click on the "Prev" link on the page you are browsing on Heavens-Above.com it will show the previous 7-days. "Next" similarly skips ahead 7 days -- though sometimes the predictions might be slightly off because satellites might be shifted in their orbit. In the case of USA 193 the orbit is decaying and as it dips lower it will encounter drag with the Earth's atmosphere. This will significantly influence predictions for even just a couple of days ahead.

I remember when Taco Bell offered a free taco to everyone in the USA if the re-entering MIR space station hit a target the company anchored mid-Pacific (it didn't so it saved about 100 million tacos and a few cows/chickens lives!)

atb,

John

While imaging the ISS last night Dave L and I
both thought it was first a helicopter.
It had what looked like a beam of light at first coming from
it.
It faded but bent a bit like what you describe.
I wonder?

Hi Frank.
Unbelievably it sounds like the same thing. Have a look at the image below, and check out this site : www.satobs.org/h2o_dump.html

Was it the 6:02 pass?
I was watching the 7:35 pass and didn't really see anything unusual. If it IS the same - what are the odds! :)
