Yep - I call them carbon units - they are the most unpredictable entities and they will do exactly what you haven't accounted for. It is usually only by watching them "working" that you find out your "mistake" (not accounting for some insane method of use of the software). NEVER underestimate the unpredictability (stupidity?) of carbon units.

Yesterday I set up an ETX-125 (5" - f/15) and tried to view the Moon - Mars embracement from Athens. But alas, the haze and clouds made the task impossible. The Moon was barely visible.

I cannot remember the last time we had such a long stretch of bad weather and/or conditions. We are already into May and well into 2008 and, yet, the work I have produced has been absolutely minimal.
There is no doubt in my mind that the weather is getting worse year after year.

Anthony, the weather gets on my nerves this year. That's just unacceptable! I can't remember a descent observing night, since before Christmass. The only exception was last weekend in Parnon, where we had 4 clear nights in a raw. Wednesday-Thursday-Friday-Saturday. The viewing of Omega Centauri calmed us down a lot:

But again, I am very close to a nervous breakdown right now.
Climate changes... brrrr
