I never thought looking at sketches was/would be interesting until i saw yours Jeff.
You have a talent for capturing objects in a good light.

Hi Jeff they are simply awesome my favourite sketches from you and by far the best solar sketches I've seen. The beauty i think is in the fact that it is white on black makeing the loops stand out were they might otherwise be somewhat lost to the background.

Thanks guys!
Michael -- the Barlow is a University Optics 2.8X Klee. It's nicely made, although from the period when compression rings weren't common so it just has a setscrew. It's reasonably high power with a short focal length so I don't think I'd use it with any wide-angle or long-focal length eyepieces, but it works well with TV Plossls and UO orthos up to 25mm.
And perhaps most importantly, it fits in the SM40 case.

Ah yes, I've heard the UO stuff is pretty good. I've always been meaning to try out some of their abbe orthos - very good planetary eyepieces apparently.the Barlow is a University Optics 2.8X Klee.
Ah well then, nuff said! And perhaps most importantly, it fits in the SM40 case.
