I've passable Greek, Petros.
I'll be there in a couple of weeks....for about the 25th time!
I have never visited Syros, but I have visited some of the Cyclades islands, including Santorini, Ios, Paros, Mykonos and Naxos.
Beautiful places, but that Aegean wind can be strong, and the seas very rough for the ferry!

The sun June 17th , unfinished due to clouds
19:00 UT
The sun June 19th, showing some nice proms, filaments and the sunspot.
Sunspot 999
There must be more than one as they are never alone, but not visible to my eye this morning.
A closer look by eye a the spot and the active region around it.
All sketches done with PST40/8mmTVP eyepiece/50 X
with just more looking for the sunspot area
Pastels and pencil on black paper.
No time to do Tilting sun, or tackle the proms in a finer way, have to run , graduating this evening.

Wow, fantastic sketches, Deirdre! I'd love to know your technique on getting the mottled background of the solar disk.
(And congrats on your graduation.)

Nice scethes Deirdre!
I think that I gave you too much.... inspiration
The active region is the 999,or the 998..?
Today was impossibile to make a new scetch due to the too warm weather here...38 d.C!!!!
