A few recent solar sketches was created by jeyjey
This first one was done at the beginning of the month. Since I'm old, I don't remember that far back so it'll have to go without an introduction.
This second one was done a couple of weeks ago. Seeing was pretty bad, but it was the first clear day in weeks and it came at a good time. Michael came up for a bit of a solar smorgasbord and we viewed with his Herschel wedge and PST and my Solarscope SF70. It was my first white-light experience, but alas there wasn't much going on in white light. H-alpha didn't dissappoint, however.
Finally we have today's sketch. High haze and thin clouds were making it very difficult to see the detail, but there were a few clearer patches. There was a filament immediately adjacent on the disk, but I couldn't determine how it connected to the prominence so I just drew it as I saw it.
Cheers,
-- Jeff.

Seanie --
Do you mean the sketches don't show up for you? (They appear on my machine.)
Or do you mean why didn't I take any pics of Michael and I soaking up some rays? (Mea culpa on that one -- I just didn't think of it.)
Cheers,
-- Jeff.

Ah, well, they're not showing up on my screen at all. Anyone else have the same problem?
